CVE-2022-24321Network attack vector

Server crash via malformed HTTP request

Published Feb 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper exceptional-condition handling in EcoStruxure Geo SCADA Expert 2019 and 2020 allows remote attackers to crash the server via malformed HTTP. The Geo SCADA server's HTTP request-processing path fails to handle an exceptional condition raised by malformed input; Schneider Electric has not disclosed the exact parser or function. Network access to the server's HTTP service is sufficient, and the documented consequence is an availability-only service interruption.
