Local privilege escalation in Acer Quick Access 2.01.3000 through 2.01.3028 and 3.00.3000 through 3.00.3036 grants local users SYSTEM privileges. The privileged service exposes a named pipe with general-user read and write access, accepts an executable path without authenticating the caller, and runs that path as SYSTEM. Any local user able to write to the pipe can execute an arbitrary program with system authority, compromising the host.
