CVE-2022-24282Network attack vector

Privileged root code execution via Java deserialization

Published Mar 8, 2022 · Updated Apr 21, 2025

Insecure deserialization in Siemens SINEC NMS before 2.0 and SINEMA Server V14 allows remote authenticated users to execute code as root. The upload path passes attacker-supplied JSON into Java object deserialization; Siemens has not identified the handler or unsafe class-resolution operation. A privileged application account and network access to the web service are required, and successful exploitation runs arbitrary code with root privileges.
