Authenticated command execution via unrestricted restore archive
Published Feb 4, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in VoIPmonitor GUI before 24.96 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through config restore. The restore function extracts archive contents into the web root without rejecting executable PHP files, so an uploaded script becomes a web shell. Access to the authenticated restore feature is required, and execution gains the web server process's privileges.
