Authenticated RCE via unrestricted file upload
Published Mar 1, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Extensis Portfolio 4.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via Catalog Asset Upload. The main portal accepts files without effective allowlisting or content inspection, and uploaded JSP files can be exported into the web root where the server executes them. Exploitation requires a valid authenticated account and can provide operating-system command execution with the web server's privileges.
