Privilege escalation and code execution via CSRF
Published Mar 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in the Snapt Aria 12.8 management portal allows remote attackers to execute code with elevated privileges. The public disclosure does not identify the forged management request or specify which anti-CSRF validation is absent or bypassed. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to click a malicious link hosting the CSRF payload, after which the forged request runs with that user’s portal authority.
