Database read and modification via page parameter
Published Feb 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in eliteCMS 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data through the page parameter. The edit_page.php handler passes the page value through mysql_prep, then interpolates it into the quoted WHERE id clause of an UPDATE statement without effective neutralization. The handler calls check_login before processing the request, and crafted Boolean or time-delay expressions can disclose data or modify page records within the database account's privileges.
