PDF-processing interruption via unchecked array index

Out-of-bounds array access in iText 7.1.17 allows attackers to interrupt PDF processing with a crafted PDF file. ARCFOUREncryption.encryptARCFOUR uses a PDF-derived array index without validating its bounds, causing Java to throw a catchable runtime exception. Processing attacker-supplied PDF input is required; iText confirms the exception but disputes that it is exploitable or constitutes a denial of service.
