Unauthenticated command execution via ZeroTier network ID
Published Mar 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in CasaOS before 0.2.7 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through ZeroTier join or leave requests. The handlers pass the path-supplied network ID to service methods that concatenate it unquoted into a zerotier-cli command and execute it. No authentication or user interaction is required; injected shell syntax runs with the CasaOS service's privileges and can compromise its host.
