System compromise via unrestricted file upload
Published Jul 15, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Eveo URVE Web Manager allows remote authenticated users on the local network to gain system privileges. The kreator.html5/img_upload.php handler accepts a client-supplied filename without validating its type or name, then moves and copies the upload into usersFiles and template-specific slide directories. Remote authenticated users need adjacent-network access; uploaded content reaches application-controlled web directories and can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
