Cross-site scripting in Ex Libris ALEPH 500 18.1 and 20 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts via cgi-bin/ej.cgi. The endpoint reflects the s search parameter into generated HTML without output encoding, allowing injected event-handler markup to run when a victim views the response. Exploitation requires a victim to load the crafted search URL; impact is limited to script execution in that victim's browser context.
