Environment reconnaissance via blind server-side requests
Published Aug 2, 2023 · Updated Oct 11, 2024
Blind SSRF in Octopus Server allows remote authenticated users with guest access to enumerate resources in the server's environment. Octopus Deploy has not published the affected request handler or how attacker-controlled request data directs server-side requests. Guest login must be enabled, and the documented consequence is reconnaissance rather than direct retrieval of response content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2019.4.0 <2022.4.9997
- Affected versionversion=2023.1.0 <2023.1.10235

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
