Stored script execution via unescaped slide titles
Published Jan 16, 2024 · Updated May 22, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Simon Pedge Slide Anything before 2.3.47 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through slide titles. The plugin stores a crafted slide title without adequate sanitization, then outputs it unescaped on admin pages and wherever the slide is embedded. An Author account is sufficient even when unfiltered_html is disabled, and execution requires a user to view a page containing the affected slide.
