Current-user code execution via use-after-free
Published May 11, 2022 · Updated May 27, 2026
Use-after-free in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC allows context-dependent attackers to execute code by supplying a malicious PDF. Adobe identifies the defect only as a use-after-free and does not disclose the affected parser, object, or lifetime error. Execution requires a victim to open the crafted file, after which attacker-controlled code runs with the current user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
