Stored script execution via unescaped delimiter settings
Published Aug 8, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in mTouch Quiz 3.1.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script through crafted delimiter settings. The plugin stores delimiter-setting values without sanitization and renders them without escaping, allowing an injected element handler to run in an administrator's browser. Administrator privileges are required, and the issue is reachable when unfiltered_html is disabled, including on WordPress multisite installations.
