Channel-list disclosure via missing guest authorization
Published Jul 14, 2022 · Updated Dec 6, 2024
Incorrect authorization in Mattermost 6.7.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with guest accounts to list every public team channel. The Guest account permission path returns public channels that the guest has not joined instead of restricting the listing to channel memberships. A valid guest account and team membership are required; exposure is limited to public-channel listings, not message content or private channels.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
