Reflected XSS via unsanitized pos-name parameter
Published Sep 26, 2022 · Updated May 21, 2025
Reflected XSS in ThemeHunk WP Popup Builder before 1.2.9 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted admin-page URL. The wp-admin popup editor reflects the pos-name parameter into the response without sanitization or output escaping when custom-popup identifies an existing popup. Exploitation requires a user with popup-editor access to open the crafted URL, allowing script execution in that user's browser context.
