Adjacent-network overflow via unchecked GetValue copy
Published Aug 5, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Buffer overflow in GetValue in TCL LinkHub Mesh Wi-Fi AC1200 MS1G_00_01.00_14 allows remote attackers to cause service interruption via adjacent network. GetValue copies flash configuration data into a destination buffer without checking its size, so a specially crafted value overruns memory in the pppd binary. An attacker able to send the phone application's protobuf configuration messages can trigger the condition; the overflow can disrupt or compromise router processes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
