Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked GetValue copy
Published Aug 5, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in TCL LINKHUB Mesh Wi-Fi MS1G_00_01.00_14 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted configuration data. In the online_process binary, GetValue copies as many as 0x5dc bytes from a flash configuration variable into a caller-supplied buffer without receiving or checking its size. Reachability requires access to the router's Wi-Fi or wired network and the ability to send application-style protobuf messages to port 9003; triggering the overwrite can seize control of execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
