System crash via kernel stack overflow

Kernel stack overflow in affected ESET encryption products allows local users to crash Windows through system calls. The dlpfde.sys kernel driver causes a kernel stack overflow while processing those calls instead of rejecting them safely. A user must already be logged in locally; successful exploitation causes a system crash such as a BSOD, with no reported data access or modification.
