Arbitrary code execution via unchecked GetValue copy
Published Aug 5, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Buffer overflow in TCL LINKHUB Mesh Wi-Fi AC1200 MS1G_00_01.00_14 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. In miniupnpd, GetValue copies a flash configuration value into a caller-provided buffer using the value length without accepting or checking the destination size. Reachability requires local-network access to the router's protobuf management messages, and an overlong value can overwrite a saved return address.
