Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked GetValue copy
Published Aug 5, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in TCL LINKHUB Mesh Wi-Fi AC1200 MS1G_00_01.00_14 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. In logserver, GetValue copies a flash configuration value into a caller-supplied buffer using the value's length without knowing the destination size. An attacker on the adjacent network can set the value through phone-app-style protobuf messages and overwrite a return address.
