CVE-2022-24002Public exploit

Protected activity launch via unchecked nested intent

Published Feb 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper authorization in Samsung Electronics Link Sharing before 12.4.00.3 allows local users to launch protected app activities. PreconditionActivity accepts an attacker-supplied extra_former_intent, stores it without validating its target, and passes it to startActivity(). A malicious application on the device can invoke the exported entry point without privileges or user interaction, reaching protected Link Sharing activities or any exported activity.
