Code execution via unchecked FPJ file data
Published Feb 25, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in FATEK Automation FvDesigner 1.5.100 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through crafted FPJ files. The FPJ parser fails to validate user-supplied data before writing past the end of an allocated data structure. Exploitation requires the target to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page, and resulting code runs in the current process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
