Unauthenticated gateway registration via unprotected HTTP endpoints
Published Jan 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing authorization in Apache ShenYu 2.4.0 through 2.4.1 allows remote attackers to register gateway metadata and URIs over HTTP. ShenYu Admin whitelists /shenyu-client/**, so its registration handlers accept untrusted metadata and URI records without requiring an access token. Network reachability to the Admin HTTP service is sufficient, and successful requests can alter gateway routing state.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
