Stored script execution via photo-album metadata
Published Jun 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Admidio before 4.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The photo-album editor inserts stored album names, photographer names, and descriptions into form fields without requesting database-safe formatting, allowing crafted metadata to become executable markup. Album-editing privileges and victim interaction are required, and successful execution can read or alter data available to the victim's session.
