Unauthenticated command execution via cookie-fed template evaluation
Published Mar 23, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Remote code execution in ZZZCMS zzzphp 2.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute commands through a crafted search request. In zzz_template.php, parserSearch replaces {zzz:keys} with the unfiltered keys cookie, and parserIfLabel then evaluates the resulting template content. No authentication or user interaction is required; a request for location=search reaches the path, allowing commands to run with the web service's privileges.
