Unauthenticated code execution via controllable PHP file write
Published Mar 23, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in taoCMS 3.0.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by submitting a crafted PHP file. File.php derives its website-root target from a GET-controlled path and writes attacker-controlled POST filedata to that location without restricting the file type. No authentication or user interaction is required, and a successful write places an executable webshell in the served site.
