Code deletion via missing nonce validation
Published Aug 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
CSRF in WP Coder before 2.5.3 allows remote attackers to delete stored code snippets through a forged administrative request. The deletion path in admin/partials/tools-data-base.php processes the info=del and did parameters without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to follow the forged request, and the resulting action removes a selected plugin-created snippet.
