Privileged account takeover via unchecked password reset
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Privilege escalation in Zoho ManageEngine Desktop Central before 10.1.2137.10 allows remote authenticated users to reset privileged passwords. The ChangeAmazonPasswordServlet class accepts a target account password change without verifying the target account's current password. Low-privileged web access is sufficient to reset an administrator password and take over the privileged web account.
