Authenticated SQL injection via unvalidated playlist sorting
Published Jan 24, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Navidrome before 0.47.5 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary database data through crafted Smart Playlists. Criteria.OrderBy in model/criteria/criteria.go inserted unrecognized sort fields and arbitrary order values into SQL instead of using mapped fields and allowed directions. Any authenticated account can reach the flaw and read the user table, including encrypted password values, but no write or availability impact is reported.
