Administrator-browser script execution via unescaped access token
Published Aug 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in SlickRemix Feed Them Social before 3.0.1 allows remote attackers to execute scripts in an administrator's browser. The fts_refresh_token_ajax function returns the access_token parameter without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires an administrator to follow a crafted link, after which injected script executes in that browser and can be stored in plugin options.
