Privileged SMM code execution via unvalidated communication buffer

Improper input validation in AMD PI firmware on affected x86 processors allows local privileged attackers to execute code in SMM. The SMM handler operates on its communication buffer without first validating it, allowing attacker-controlled data to corrupt System Management RAM. Exploitation requires local high privileges; successful corruption executes attacker-controlled code in SMM, outside normal operating-system protections.
