Source-path disclosure via oversized upload filename
Published Mar 30, 2022 · Updated Feb 25, 2026
Path disclosure in Joomla! CMS and its Filesystem Package allows remote attackers to read source paths via an oversized upload filename. The filesystem upload handling passes the overlong name into an error path that renders the web application's source-code location. Unauthenticated network access to an upload workflow is sufficient, and the result is limited to deployment-path disclosure without data changes or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
