Unauthenticated student-data disclosure via unchecked REST routes
Published Aug 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing authorization in Easy Student Results 2.2.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to read student PII through its REST API. Several rps_result/v1 routes expose course, exam, department, grade, and contact records without a capability check. The site must have “Enable API for Mobile Apps” enabled; no WordPress account is required to query records by identifiers.
