Cross-site request forgery in ipTIME NAS firmware before 1.4.86 allows remote attackers to gain root access via a crafted POST request. The undisclosed management page processes the malicious POST in a logged-in user's session and permits the request to change the root password. Exploitation requires a NAS user to be logged in and interact with attacker-controlled content; the disclosed consequence is root privilege theft.
