Authenticated cross-user password reset via alternate API path

Authentication bypass in Ping Identity PingFederate allows remote authenticated users to reset another existing user's password. The alternate Authentication API reset path accepts one user's authentication while applying the password change to a different account; Ping Identity has not disclosed the code-level validation error. Reachability requires an existing account and a reset flow configured with an Authentication Policy, email OTP, PingID, or SMS authentication.
