CVE-2022-23711

Unauthenticated information disclosure via rendered page source

Published Apr 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Information exposure in Elastic Kibana 7.2.1 through 7.17.2 and 8.0.0 through 8.1.2 allows remote attackers to read page-source data. Kibana renders monitoring connection details and other application-internal values into page source served without authentication. Sensitive monitoring data is exposed only when monitoring.ui.elasticsearch.* settings configure a remote monitoring UI; other leaked internal data is non-sensitive.
