Stored XSS in Elastic Kibana 7.5.1 through 7.16.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in other users' browsers. The index-pattern creation path accepts attacker-supplied JavaScript and later renders the pattern to other users without neutralizing the script. Exploitation requires permission to create index patterns and can expose or modify data available in a victim's Kibana session.
