Subscriber-level email log disclosure via unchecked AJAX action
Published Aug 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing authorization in YayCommerce YaySMTP before 2.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to disclose email logs via WordPress AJAX. The yaysmtp_email_logs action accepts a plugin nonce and returns paginated log records without checking the caller's capabilities. Any logged-in account, including a Subscriber, can obtain log contents; the evidence establishes disclosure but no ability to alter or delete logs.
