CVE-2022-23686Network attack vector

Unauthenticated LLDP or management-plane service interruption

Published Sep 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Packet-processing flaws in Aruba Networks ArubaOS-CX's LLDP service allow attackers to interrupt LLDP or the switch management plane. HPE identifies the affected locus as LLDP packet-data handling but has not disclosed the defective operation, parsing condition, or packet fields. Reachability requires network access to the LLDP service; no authentication or user action is required, and the reported consequence is limited to availability.
