Root command execution via authenticated web management
Published May 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager 6.10.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The affected web-based management interface accepts attacker-controlled input in a way that reaches operating-system command execution, but HPE has not published the specific endpoint or parameter operation for this CVE. An authenticated management account is required; successful exploitation grants root control of the underlying appliance and can result in complete system compromise.
