Restricted page disclosure via unchecked template copying
Published Feb 9, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Missing authorization in XWiki Platform before 12.10.6 and 13.0.0 through 13.1 allows remote authenticated users to read restricted pages. CreateAction, EditAction, InlineAction, and SaveAction passed the request-supplied template reference to readFromTemplate without verifying VIEW permission on the source document. The requester needs edit rights on a destination page; copying a protected page as its template exposes that page's content without altering the protected source.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
