CVE-2022-23614Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Code execution via unchecked sort callback

Published Feb 4, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Code injection in Twig 2.0.0 through 2.14.10 and 3.0.0 through 3.3.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP functions. The sandboxed sort filter passes its attacker-controlled arrow argument to uasort as a callback without first requiring a Closure. Reachability requires an application to render attacker-controlled templates in sandbox mode, and execution inherits the PHP process's privileges.
