CVE-2022-23600Network attack vector

Account access via unchecked SAML audience

Published Feb 4, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Authentication bypass in Fleet before 4.9.1 allows remote authenticated users to access Fleet by replaying a valid SAML response. The validator checked signatures and timing but did not parse or compare the assertion audience with Fleet's entity ID, server URL, or callback URL. Exploitation requires an existing matching Fleet account and a response issued by the same identity provider for another service provider.
