CVE-2022-23574Network attack vector

Heap out-of-bounds read and write via misindexing

Published Feb 4, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025

Heap out-of-bounds access in TensorFlow before 2.5.3, 2.6.0 through 2.6.2, and 2.7.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or write memory. SpecializeType iterates mutable type arguments using the inner-loop index but passes the outer-loop index to mutable_args, selecting beyond the argument vector. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled type metadata to reach graph type specialization; success exposes or corrupts process memory and can crash the process.
