Cross-site scripting via safelisted SVG data URIs

Cross-site scripting in Loofah 2.1.0 through 2.19.0 allows remote attackers to inject browser-executed content through SVG data URIs. The HTML5 safelist treats image/svg+xml as an allowed data-URI media type, so sanitizer output retains an SVG use href containing attacker-controlled SVG. A consuming application must sanitize and republish attacker-controlled markup, and a user must render the resulting content for script execution.
