CVE-2022-23510Network attack vector

Authenticated data access via direct SQL execution

Published Dec 9, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

SQL injection in Cube.js 0.31.23 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter connected database data via the SQL runner API. The /v1/sql-runner handler passes a client-supplied query directly to executeQuery, bypassing the modeling layer and its row-level security logic. Any valid Cube JWT reaches the endpoint, so a client can query data outside its assigned security context.
