Authentication bypass using arbitrary IdP assertions

Authentication bypass in Auth0 passport-wsfed-saml2 before 4.6.3 allows remote attackers to access WSFed-protected websites. WSFed assertion validation accepts an assertion signed by an arbitrary identity provider, but Auth0 has not disclosed the faulty validation operation. Exploitation requires possession of such a signed assertion; depending on the identity provider, generating one requires no valid user access, while SAML2 remains unaffected.
