Viewer webcam disclosure via leaked stream identifiers
Published Dec 17, 2022 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Information disclosure in BigBlueButton before 2.4-rc-6 allows remote authenticated users to view locked viewer webcam streams. The backend sends viewer stream identifiers to all meeting users and fails to apply moderator-only lock checks when processing subscriptions. Exploitation requires meeting access, an active viewer webcam, and the moderator-only webcam lock; it exposes video without configuration changes.
